We will not be signing up for runs for the next few weeks due to my father's illness-if we are online and an activity is going on, we will try to attend, but as his condition is terminal and declining we cannot in good faith sign up to attend any events.

Sorry to hear that PF, hope things work out for you and enjoy your break! See you soon.

Due to my internet and work schedule i am taking a month or so off of ffxi. Its getting to the point that I can't even get to the play screen without dcing 4-5 times beforehand. So until i can either sit right outside work or get a better wifi card i think its best I just put things off. Just like on Thursday 3-1 i tried like 10 times to log in and even tried to just get onto the site to say that I had internet issues and couldn't. Since my phone is off i couldn't tell Chibi and Kuro that I wasn't gonna be able to make it. It really upsets me and it makes it harder since I know that it puts others in a bind. Hopefully I will be back soon and will not be too far behind everyone else. Thanks and take care everyone.

These are notes and the basic idea/progression of Saturday night's meeting for those who were not able to attend or those who did attend and want a recap.

Monday 11pm - Einherjar
Thursday 10pm - Salvage
Saturday 9pm - Missions

Einherjar gear is augmentable and HNM gear is available from it.

Does Einherjar still require purchasing a glass? If so have to have some sort of income for bank otherwise people who want to be able to lot on gear can split the cost
of the glass due to no communal pool of money drops with new events.

Walk of Echoes will be for spells/gear/money for members.

Aim to do all fluxes starting with mid tier fluxes for practice and people to get familiar with the battlefield, then moving up higher.

Make sure to be on at least WotG mission 3 (Cait Sith will be in mission log) and CS at Verdical Conflux in Xarcabard[S].

Advantage of WoE is that members will get their own loot pool when boss is defeated so no lotting against other people

Deathhaven has accepted the invite to the shell and will undergo 3 run trial period before lotting rights are bestowed.

WoE is 45m run.

Talk with Exsonious about if he has any Einherjar distribution ideas. If not we go based on priority list. Each member will have a 1 item priority. Once item is gotten, they will move down a peg on the lot priority and they may add a new item. This should keep everyone on a level playing field in terms of drops since priority will be based on peg level, not where item is based on priority list. You're free to make a multiple item list for your own memory, but I will only accept one item at a time for simplicity's sake.

Have Exsonious post where he gets Einherjar info from so other members can take a look.

Limbus is alleged to be making a comeback with augments available on the gear, but no info right now as to the actual augments available nor when they will be released. Possible discussion at that point.

Legion will be released soon if people are interested in trying that, however there is no information currently on the requirements for participation or what drops. Another possible discussion at that point.

Hey Jar, I confused this with one of the other posts and thought this was old. Take your time and I hope you are recovering well. We miss you!

Re: Jaremg's absence by NiomiNiomi, 21 Jan 2012 22:52

Sorry for the late post but with everything I have going on right now, I'm taking an unscheduled break from FFXI, at least for 2 weeks or until beginning of Feb. Jaremg will be back sooner than you think! See you soon once things have settled down a bit!

Jaremg's absence by JaremgJaremg, 10 Jan 2012 02:21

Sounds good. Thurs time will work most of time, except that if my hubby isn't home, I may have to take my daughter to youth group at 7:00 pst.

As a repost of our conversation on Monday night, I am contemplating us switching to more modern events. Abyssea has run its course and everyone will have at least 2 jobs with full +2 not including FL drops that we've had. Everyone has gotten pretty much any item they want and I feel it would be a waste of talent to continue doing abyssea zones, so the new events were to include Einherjar, Walk of Echoes and mission lines still to be done. I don't know much about Einherjar and have never done it myself, but Exso was gracious enough to step up and offer to lead it after scraping the rust off of his memory about it. On Monday night, we also talked about the possibility of pushing Thursday night's run to 9pm EST instead of 11pm EST. I am all for this change if the members are. I'd like everyone to post below here on the 9pm EST on Thursday issue, whether you are good with it, not good with it or just to confirm that you have read this post and are indifferent as to whether the time changes or not.. The last thing I want to do is block members that attend from coming because of a time change. Monday night however has to stay at 11pm. Rath has a group of Voidwatchers that run at 10pm EST on Monday to be done in time for SkellingtonCrew's event so that one can't be changed. I'm also juggling the possibility of Limbus. The zones are mostly simple at this point, some might still need ancient beastcoins for gear from Sagheera like Boxer's Mantle, maybe others want AF+1 and probably the biggest reason (I hear) that Homam/Nashira will be augmentable in the future. I want to solidify the fact that I heard this, I did not personally read it. I did find several posts suggesting the possibility of it, but nothing concrete stated by SE, but that's not to say the info isn't out there. If people are for the idea, we will probably add that in to Saturday night. None of these changes will happen until everyone is finished with their priority jobs' +2 though. Hard work is being put in to plan getting everything done in the next few weeks, barring VNM abyssites refusing to change. The only thing that has already been set in motion is the Saturday night mission night, and even that is when people post for help, otherwise it will be used to finish +2.

-The reason for Einherjar? The abjuration gear from Einherjar follows the same rules as sky abjuration gear and can be augmented for great results. Also, pieces drop there that would otherwise be fairly difficult to find.

-Next on the list, why WoE? New confluxes were released in the last update that have some very nice gear, as well as the fluxes that were released before those that have some good spell drops that people may need for their jobs or would like to sell.

-And lastly, why missions/quests? This one is probably self explanatory. Some fights are harder than others and people maybe haven't had much success shouting for groups, or maybe just haven't had the time or drive to do them. Most notably being the add-on fights for the augmentable gear, which is still quite useful even at 99, or maybe someone wants to re-do their earring, others want to do Alexander. The reasons for wanting to do it are your own, so let's get cracking on them! P.S. In order for missions to work, people need to make sure they do their cutscenes ASAP. Remember some things require you to wait until JP midnight for the next part, so don't wait to do them. I will try to group people together on a mission that they all need, job willing. If say 7 people need it and it's a 6 man BCNM, we'll have to do it twice. If 6 people need it and I'm not one of them, I'll do my best to lead from outside so there isn't a need to do it twice.
